Hoctor Dance Enterprises is America’s #1 organizer of dance workshops and competitions- and is proud to be recognized as the leader in the Dance Industry. We set the pace for dance conventions, and as we lead… others follow! There are sooo many touring dance competitions and workshops to choose from today, but once there was only Dance Caravan. Established in 1959 by Danny and Betty Hoctor, a famous dance team who had established a record company to produce material for dance instruction. At that time occasional conventions were held in New York, but were limited to members of dance associations. There weren’t any to help the rest of the teachers across the country. The Hoctors saw an opportunity to increase service to the dance profession and to promote their records, and thus Caravan began.

The first year, there were 8 teachers driving coast to coast- now the staff has over 100 people and our Caravan Kids troupe, who travel by tour bus or fly to each of their cities. However, the original goal remains the same. For 45 years now, Danny and Betty have been bringing the finest teachers, performers and choreographers to dance teachers all over the world.
