CALLING ALL FUTURE STARS!! Dance Caravan™ Kid auditions are held at every Dance Caravan™ location on the third day of the convention. All students who audition will be notified at the end of the summer tour. Auditions are also held at each of our PDTA™ convention weekends. You can also audition by sending a short video, which should include a personal introduction as well as combination of ballet, tap and jazz or a two minute long original solo. The Betty Hoctor Scholarships are awarded to returning Caravan Kids. DCK coordinators also select three outstanding students in each of the PDTA™ cities between January and April. All performances are video taped and reviewed by our Caravan Kid directors at the end of the season. Then, from the over 50 'stars' selected from all over the country, three talented dancers will been chosen as our Danny Hoctor Scholarship Kids.
